   Biography and Career:

   Sarah Asher Geronimo was born on July 25, 1988 to Father Delfin Geronimo, a retired PLDT employee, and mother Divina, who used to run a beauty parlor in their house at Sta. Cruz, Manila.    At a very young, when she was only 3, she took part in a popular children's show, Pen pen de Sarapen. This was the start of her career. The other popular shows where she performed were For Kids Only, Hiraya Manawari, Ang TV, and NEXT. She was the one to be selected for singing for Pope John Paul II when he arrived in Quezon City in 1995.

   Apart from her talent in acting, Sarah has a beautiful voice. This made her rise above her acting career. She joined the Centre For Pop Music at the age of 6 and started rigorous practice to perfect her vocal skills. Her first breakthrough cam e in 2003 when she won the Asian singing competition Star for a Night and bagged a million Philippine pesos and a 10 year recording deal with Viva Records. She was 14 at that time.

Her debut album Popstar: A Dream Come True was released that September. The album went on to receive as many as six platinum status with the hit single "To Love You More" topping the singles charts for four months. Besides, she kept acting in TV shows and appeared in movies like Captain Barbell, Filipinas and Annie B.

The next year, in 2004, she starred in the drama series Sarah: The Teen Princess and also featured regularly on the show ASAP. She played her first lead role in Lastikma, where she co-starred with singer Mark Bautista.

Her next album was released in November, 2004. The album titled "Sweet Sixteen" scored double platinum in Philippines, with hits like "Forever's Not Enough" and "How Could You Say You Love Me". Sarah also toured the US for the Night of the Champions tour.

In 2005, she sung the theme song of the movie Can This Be Love. The song attained gold status. She, then, starred in the show SCQ Reload: OK Ako and went back to the States for Pinoy Idols: Return of the Champions tour. Her first live concert album The Other Side: Live Album (2005) was released under the label of Viva Records. Her third studio album featured the hits "I Still Believe In Loving You" and "Carry My Love".

In 2006, she starred in the soap Bituing Walang Ningning, also known as Lackluster Star. She sung for the show's album, which attained gold status. Then, Sarah set out for The Other Side US Tour, a solo tour with shows in Alaska, Canada, Taiwan and Dubai. The next year, she toured Australia, Canada, UAE, Europe and the US for the Motion Tour.

She also hosted a children talent show Little Big Superstar and acted in the drama series Pangarap Na Bituin (2007). Her fourth album, Taking Flight (2007) spent a staggering 36 weeks at #1.

Why Is She Famous?

Sarah Geronimo is famous as a successful young singer and talented actress in her homeland of Philippines. She topped the Star For A Night competition in 2003 and released four platinum rated albums between 2003 and 2007. As an actress, she has starred in TV shows and movies.
